Position Summary:
  • We are seeking a Technical Product Owner for Cool Compliance who can bridge business ownership, compliance priorities, and hands-on technical understanding of the platform.
  • This role is responsible for translating audit, access governance, SOX, operational risk, and production support needs into clear product direction, prioritized backlog items, and actionable requirements for delivery teams.
  • The ideal candidate understands how Cool Compliance workflows, integrations, data flows, reporting, and downstream dependencies operate and can guide technical conversations with developers, analysts, QA, auditors, control owners, and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Own and prioritize the Cool Compliance backlog based on business value, compliance risk, audit impact, production stability, and technical dependencies.
  • Translate stakeholder, audit, SOX, access governance, and operational needs into clear functional and technical requirements.
  • Partner with developers, QA, support analysts, and technical application analysts to design, validate, and deliver reliable IAM and compliance application solutions.
  • Analyze application workflows, integrations, user access processes, reporting logic, data dependencies, and system behavior to support delivery and production operations.
  • Support technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis for production incidents, data defects, access issues, workflow failures, and integration errors.
  • Validate system changes by reviewing test results, data outcomes, acceptance criteria, defect resolution, and release readiness from both business and technical perspectives.
  • Ensure enhancements, fixes, and technical changes support SOX controls, audit evidence, access governance, operational readiness, and long-term maintainability.
  • Collaborate on technical documentation, process guides, troubleshooting runbooks, data flow documentation, and knowledge transfer materials for support and delivery teams.
  • Use data, metrics, defect trends, incident patterns, and stakeholder feedback to identify technical improvements, automation opportunities, and product enhancements.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • 3+ years of product ownership, business analysis, or agile delivery experience, including backlog prioritization, epic and user story definition, acceptance criteria, stakeholder alignment, and release readiness validation.
  • 3+ years of technical application support, systems analysis, IAM, compliance technology, or enterprise platform experience, including troubleshooting application workflows, integrations, access issues, data defects, and production incidents.
  • Experience understanding and navigating Oracle database schemas, including tables, views, relationships, data structures, and how application data supports reporting, integrations, troubleshooting, and compliance workflows.
  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting .NET-based applications, including investigating application errors, reviewing logs, validating configuration issues, partnering with developers, and assisting with root cause analysis for production incidents.
  • Experience translating compliance, audit, SOX, and access governance requirements into clear functional and technical requirements for delivery teams.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise application support, incident management, change management, testing, and production stabilization practices.
  • Strong understanding of data flows, system dependencies, reporting logic, and integration points between IAM or compliance applications and related enterprise platforms.
  • Ability to partner with developers, QA, business stakeholders, auditors, control owners, and leadership to drive decisions and remove delivery blockers.
  • Strong documentation and knowledge management skills, including process guides, troubleshooting runbooks, decision logs, and support procedures.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use metrics, trends, defect patterns, and stakeholder feedback to drive continuous improvement.
Tools and Platforms:
  • Identity and Access Management applications such as SailPoint, Saviynt, Microsoft Entra ID, ect.: Platforms used to support user access governance, compliance workflows, access reviews, reporting, and production support activities.
  • ServiceNow, Remedy, or Jira: Incident, request, change, defect, and backlog management.
  • Azure DevOps or Jira Agile: Epic, feature, user story, sprint, and release tracking.
  • Databricks, SQL, or enterprise data platforms: Data validation, trend analysis, reporting support, and investigation of system or workflow issues.
  • Power BI or similar reporting tools: Dashboard review, operational metrics, audit reporting, and compliance trend analysis.
  • SharePoint and Microsoft Teams: Documentation, collaboration, knowledge management, and stakeholder communication.
  • Microsoft Excel: Data analysis, issue tracking, reconciliation, workbook review, and audit evidence organization.
  • Copilot or AI-assisted productivity tools: Requirements drafting, documentation acceleration, issue summarization, knowledge retrieval, modernization, and process optimization/automation.

  • The ideal candidate is a business-facing product leader with enough technical depth to challenge assumptions, validate system behavior, support production investigations, and guide delivery teams toward practical, audit-ready solutions.
  • This person should be comfortable operating in a fast-paced compliance environment where accuracy, risk awareness, documentation quality, and production stability are critical.
