REPORTS TO: Product Line Manager
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Writes application notes
- First line of contact for the internal Technical Sales Support group related to application questions
- Ability to test the product in the application.
- Have direct interactions with customers both remotely and in person once detailed application related questions arise.
- Draft training material for internal and external use.
- Provide marketing input to the Product Line Manager from Sales and Customer interactions.
- Draft marketing material in conjunction with the Marketing Communications group.
- Attends industry conferences and participates in industry societies
- Conduct webinars & customer training seminars.
- Attend internal training and coordination events.
- Support sales to complete customer acceptance of product use:
- Answer application and product related questions prior to sale.
- Provide training on product & application basics to sales and target customers.
- For large or nuanced opportunities, communicate detailed technical information to proposal team or PLM for quoting. This may require a visit to the site.
- Answer application related questions as they arise.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- BSEE, Professional Experience, or technical experience.
- Travels up to 50%
- Power system experience.
- Familiarity with power system simulation and coordination software.
- Interest in aspects of the evolving power system, such as DC power, DERs, IBRs, BESS, microgrids etc.

Compensation: We anticipate filling the Sr. Application Engineer – Genset, Regulation, Protection
position with an expected compensation range of $96,000 – $113,000 with the
opportunity for incentive compensation. We are open to reviewing additional
candidates with more or less experience and the pay range may differ if filled at a
different level. Our pay ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location.
Starting pay and job title are based on location and job-related factors such as
candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
