The Transmission Project Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating the execution of transmission line and substation capital projects.
The role provides leadership throughout the project lifecycle, including planning, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout activities.
The Project Manager is accountable for project scope, schedule, budget, risk management, stakeholder coordination, and overall project delivery success.
The Transmission PM with 2 to 15 years of experience will manage the execution of multiple transmission projects.
The position will involve coordinating with multiple internal and external departments to manage the life cycle of project execution. Responsible for project execution, contract administration, planning and resource management.
Take ownership for all aspects of project performance including safety, schedule, budget, reporting and communication throughout the entire project lifecycle.
Manage and direct the project team to ensure accountability.
Mentor and coach team members.
Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with stakeholders.
Lead efforts to ensure projects are completed safely, satisfactorily, on time, and within budget.
Support the reporting of key performance indicators for schedule, budget, and other dashboard items.
Identify and control construction risk.
Recognize, identify, track and control change.
Communicate and consult with appropriate stakeholders and leadership.
Analyze issues and provide solutions to improve results.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Execution & Leadership
Lead transmission line and substation capital projects from initiation through closeout.
Experience managing transmission line and substation projects is a plus.
Understanding of transmission systems and utility operations is a plus.
Familiarity with utility project gated processes and capital project governance is a plus.
Familiarity with Oracle financial applications, and Primavera schedules is a plus.

Work will take place primarily in an office setting with occasional construction site visits. Physical requirements include sitting, standing, driving, walking (sometimes across uneven surfaces). Visits to construction sites will involve exposure to weather/ambient temperatures.
