Create/maintain test plans, test cases, and test charters aligned to release goals Drive defect triage, root cause analysis support, and quality recommendations
Automation Engineering Build and maintain robust automated test suites across:
API testing (primary) UI testing (where applicable)
Integration and end-to-end flows
Design automation for maintainability:
Reusable utilities, page/object patterns, clean assertions, test data strategy Ensure automation runs reliably in pipelines and produces actionable output
Performance & Reliability Testing Develop performance test scenarios reflecting real usage patterns:
Concurrent user load throughput/latency baselines peak event testing degradation detection over time
Establish and track performance budgets (latency, response times, error rates) with Engineering + DevOps Partner with DevOps to integrate performance tests into CI/CD and scheduled runs
Collaboration & Quality Leadership Work closely with Engineers, Product, and DevOps to embed quality earlier:
Define acceptance criteria improve testability add instrumentation and logging for diagnosability
Provide clear quality reporting: coverage, risks, readiness, and release recommendations
