Job Description:
  • This is a senior-level DevOps Engineer position responsible for supporting the establishment, implementation, and continuous improvement of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) automation frameworks across multiple tools and platforms. Extensive experience with GitHub, Azure, and CI/CD technologies is required, along with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving business needs.
  • The ideal candidate is a strong independent contributor with deep technical expertise, solid troubleshooting skills, and hands-on experience with PowerShell scripting, CI/CD pipelines, automation, and platform support. Experience with Azure Cloud and GitHub Cloud is a plus.
  • This role will collaborate closely with development teams, infrastructure teams, security, compliance, and other business units to ensure a clear understanding of business and technical requirements, and timely delivery of solutions. The engineer will also work alongside teams responsible for platform operations, software infrastructure performance, security, compliance, testing, and documentation.
  • Additionally, this individual will contribute technical expertise, provide guidance on DevOps best practices, and play a key role in supporting and advancing automation initiatives that improve internal processes, products, and procedures through the use of modern automation, cloud, and software delivery technologies.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer, support, and continuously improve Azure DevOps and GitHub platforms.
  • Manage and maintain repositories, branching strategies, permissions, policies, and access controls across both platforms.
  • Build, support, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure delivery.
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate operational tasks, platform administration, reporting, and deployment activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues, pipeline failures, integration problems, and user access concerns.
  • Partner with development teams to implement DevOps best practices, source control standards, and release automation.
  • Support integrations between Azure DevOps, GitHub, cloud platforms, security tools, and enterprise systems.
  • Monitor platform health, usage, and performance; recommend and implement improvements.
  • Ensure platform configurations and processes align with security, compliance, and governance standards.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and user guidance.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Azure DevOps and GitHub capabilities, features, and administration.
  • Independently manage assigned work, prioritize tasks, and deliver high-quality solutions with minimal oversight.
  • Give direction with new automation framework to utilize and define/refine existing build and deploy processes.
  • Be a collaborative highly experienced team player with strong communication and planning skills.
  • Assist development teams across the organization to implement their CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong Automation, problem-solving skills, and ability to follow through to completion.
  • Collaborate/Cooperate with Enterprise and Architects on DevOps tool chain decisions.
  • Experience of explaining and persuading DevOps’ culture, automation, lean, measurement, and sharing changes throughout internal teams and with business partners.
  • Experience with container tools such as AKS and OpenShift.
  • Follow engineering best practices, participate in tool evaluations, peer reviews, etc. as necessary.
  • Has experience of architecting solutions to support and host customer facing products with a focus on stability, scalability, security, testability, and maintainability.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (or closely related field) with at least 5+ years of relevant IT experience.
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Work great in a team environment and also as an individual contributor on solo efforts with minimal supervision.
  • 5+ years of DevOps experience in the area of application (vendor & internal apps) delivery then transformation to deployment automation
  • Proven ability to follow priorities and timelines.
  • Track record & passion for bringing high-quality automation, including continuous deployments, automated service failover, etc. into a team.
  • Strong knowledge of applying agile methodologies in an enterprise, Scrum, Kanban, Scaled Agile
  • Knowledge of good coding practices and improving code quality
  • Agile qualifications SCM/PO/Coach
  • Good Understanding of Azure (Arm and Bicep Templates, Resource Groups, Secure Networking, Vaults)
