Immediate W2 contract position available in Birmingham,, AL.
Estimated Duration: 1 year

Desired Qualifications:
  • 5 – 10 years experience.
  • The Facilities Project Manager oversees the planning, execution, and completion of facility-related projects.
  • They collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure efficient utilization of resources, adherence to timelines, and successful project outcomes.

Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
  • Experience with Power BI, Azure Cloud development, and application development using Python or .NET.
  • Previous experience supporting data delivery, including requirements gathering with business partners.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, Microsoft Project).
  • Ability to solve complex problems and make decisions under pressure.
  • PMP or Scrum Master certification is a plus.

Experience:
  • Prior experience in project management, preferably in facilities or construction.

Skills:
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage technical projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, designers, and stakeholders, to define project requirements and objectives.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Communicate project status, updates, and issues to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices, standards, and methodologies in project management.
  • Facilitate project meetings, including kick-offs, status updates, and retrospectives.
  • Manage project documentation, including requirements, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
  • Project Planning:
    • Develop project plans, including scope, budget, and timelines.
    • Identify project goals and deliverables.
  • Resource Allocation:
    • Allocate resources (personnel, materials, equipment) effectively to meet project requirements.
  • Vendor Management:
    • Coordinate with contractors, architects, and suppliers.
    • Evaluate bids and negotiate contracts.
  • Risk Assessment:
    • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Monitor project progress and address issues promptly.
  • Quality Control:
    • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards.
    • Conduct inspections and address deficiencies.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Regularly update stakeholders on project status, milestones, and any changes.

Technical Responsibilities:
  • Utilize Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
  • Oversee Azure Cloud development projects, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
  • Lead application development projects using Python or .NET technologies.
  • Support data delivery initiatives, including requirements gathering with business partners and stakeholders.
