Immediate W2 contract position available in Birmingham, AL (Hybrid). Estimated Duration: 13 months
Assignment Schedule:
4 days on-site and 1 day remote, 8:00am-5:00pm.
Candidate must be willing to come in the office 4 days a week.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage technical projects (including Boulder initiatives such as CLAI.ai, MIH, and AI-driven programs) from initiation to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, engineers, data scientists, and stakeholders) to define project requirements and objectives for AMI and Boulder projects.
Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation for AMI data analytics, CLAI.ai, MIH, and AI initiatives.
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies, especially for complex AMI and AI deployments.
Communicate project status, updates, and issues to stakeholders and senior management, with a focus on AMI and Boulder project impacts.
Ensure adherence to best practices, standards, and methodologies in project management, including Agile and SDLC.
Facilitate project meetings (kick-offs, status updates, retrospectives) for AMI and Boulder projects.
Manage project documentation, including requirements, specifications, and technical reports for AMI, CLAI.ai, MIH, and AI initiatives.
Foster a collaborative and productive team environment across AMI and Boulder project teams.
Project Planning:
Develop project plans, including scope, budget, and timelines.
Identify project goals and deliverables.
Resource Allocation:
Allocate resources (personnel, materials, equipment) effectively to meet project requirements.
Vendor Management:
Coordinate with contractors, architects, and suppliers.
Evaluate bids and negotiate contracts.
Risk Assessment:
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Monitor project progress and address issues promptly.
Regularly update stakeholders on project status, milestones, and any changes.
Technical Responsibilities:
Utilize Power BI for data visualization and reporting on AMI and Boulder project metrics.
Oversee Azure Cloud development projects, ensuring optimal performance and scalability for AMI and Boulder initiatives.
Lead application development projects using Python or .NET technologies, with a focus on AMI and Boulder-related solutions.
Support data delivery initiatives, including requirements gathering with business partners and stakeholders in AMI and Boulder projects.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager or similar role, preferably in AMI, utility analytics, or Boulder projects.
Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
Experience with Power BI, Azure Cloud development, and application development using Python or .NET.
Previous experience supporting data delivery, including requirements gathering with business partners.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, Microsoft Project).
Ability to solve complex problems and make decisions under pressure.
PMP or Scrum Master certification is preferred, but not required.

MIH supports integration with customer and billing systems, spatial analytics, and AI-driven anomaly detection, enhancing operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making for AMI.
AI Initiatives
AI initiatives include the deployment of GenAI tools, automation of document processing, and predictive analytics for operational excellence in AMI and related domains.
These initiatives drive innovation in internal auditing, customer insights, and knowledge base management, leveraging AI Assist, Copilot, and other advanced technologies.
