Immediate W2 contract position available in Atlanta, GA.

Position Summary
  • The Senior DevOps Engineer is responsible for enterprise DevOps platforms, Azure cloud services, automation, CI/CD, runner infrastructure, secure software delivery, reporting, and platform reliability. This role requires hands-on ownership of GitHub Enterprise Cloud, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, GitHub Actions, DevSecOps tooling, Power BI, and AI-assisted development capabilities such as GitHub Copilot.
  • The position supports enterprise modernization by improving developer velocity, reducing platform risk, increasing automation and self-service, strengthening compliance, and enabling measurable AI adoption.
  • This position requires an individual capable of operating effectively in enterprise-level environments with significant stakeholder interaction.
  • Candidates must have 7 to 10+ years of relevant experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, CI/CD, Automation, and related disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:

Candidates should demonstrate strong expertise in these areas, with particular emphasis on technical leadership, enterprise DevOps platforms, CI/CD automation, GitHub Actions infrastructure, and Azure cloud technologies.**
  • Enterprise DevOps Platform Engineering
    • Administer, engineer, and optimize GitHub Enterprise Cloud, Azure DevOps Services, and Azure DevOps Server capabilities, including configuration, integrations, access controls, automation, support, and continuous improvement.
    • Define platform standards, delivery patterns, and migration or integration strategies across GitHub, Azure DevOps, and related development platforms.
  • Azure Cloud and Identity Governance
    • Support Azure infrastructure, networking, governance, cloud automation, and Microsoft Entra ID integrations for secure platform operations.
    • Partner with infrastructure, security, and application teams to align Azure-based DevOps capabilities with enterprise standards.
  • CI/CD Architecture and Automation
    • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, reusable templates, deployment workflows, automation frameworks, and self-service capabilities.
    • Improve delivery speed, consistency, and reliability while reducing manual effort, deployment risk, and change-related failures.
  • GitHub Actions Runner and Build Agent Infrastructure
    • Engineer and support GitHub Actions runners, self-hosted runner infrastructure, containerized build agents, and scalable build execution environments.
    • Troubleshoot runner networking, authentication, performance, dependency, workload isolation, security, availability, and operational efficiency issues.
  • Cloud-Native and Container Platform Support
    • Support Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, AKS, and related Azure container services to enable cloud-native platform capabilities.
    • Drive modernization efforts that improve scalability, resiliency, deployment consistency, application portability, and container-based delivery workflows.
  • DevSecOps and Secure Software Delivery
    • Integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines, repositories, and SDLC workflows, including SAST, DAST, secret scanning, dependency scanning, and build-based analysis.
    • Implement secure pipeline controls, branch protection, access reviews, repository governance, compliance reporting, and audit evidence practices.
  • GitHub Copilot and AI Enablement
    • Support enterprise GitHub Copilot adoption, developer guidance, responsible AI practices, license governance, and usage reporting.
    • Monitor Copilot analytics, adoption trends, productivity indicators, cost visibility, and business value metrics.
    • Partner with business and technology teams to evaluate and implement AI-enabled solutions that improve developer productivity and accelerate delivery of production-ready capabilities.
  • Observability, Reporting, and Platform Analytics
    • Build Power BI dashboards and operational reporting provide visibility into platform usage, GitHub activity, engineering productivity, AI consumption, adoption trends, and operational health.
  • Platform Reliability and Production Support
    • Provide advanced troubleshooting, incident response, and platform reliability engineering support to ensure the availability and stability of enterprise DevOps services.
  • Cross-Functional Technical Leadership
    • Coordinate across security, infrastructure, application, operations, and leadership teams to deliver enterprise DevOps, cloud, security, automation, and AI capabilities.
    • Translate technical risks, governance requirements, and platform constraints into business impacts while coordinating across security, infrastructure, application, and leadership teams to accelerate delivery and reduce implementation risk.
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, cloud engineering, automation, CI/CD, or enterprise software delivery.
  • Hands-on experience with GitHub Enterprise Cloud, Azure DevOps Services or Server, Azure cloud services, Microsoft Entra ID, and Azure DevOps to GitHub migration or integration activities.
  • Proven ability to design and support CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, secure SDLC controls, repository governance, and enterprise software delivery workflows.
  • Experience supporting GitHub Actions runners, self-hosted build agents, containerized pipeline execution environments, and related troubleshooting across network, authentication, access, and deployment workflows.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical risks, operational issues, and business impacts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Candidates must be comfortable communicating with and presenting to Director-level and senior leadership audiences.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.

Location Requirement:
  • Candidates must reside within the company’s operational footprint and be located near a designated corporate office location.
  • Atlanta Area Candidates: Candidates located in the Atlanta area will be expected to work from the office as required. We are on 2-day 3-day rotation but could change to 4 days a week.
  • Outside Atlanta Candidates: Candidates located outside the Atlanta area must be willing to travel to Atlanta approximately 15% of the time.
  • Other Corporate Locations: Candidates located near other approved corporate office locations must be willing to work from the office if requested. While regular in-office presence is not currently anticipated outside of Atlanta, flexibility is required.
