Job Description / Desired Qualifications:

This role will be split approximately 50/50 between:

  • Administrative Role as described below
  • Transmission Analyst Role as described below.

Administrative Role:

  • Highly professional and responsive in all interactions with managers and staff.
  • Must be very flexible to support emergent work requirements.
  • Responsible for communications with Compliance and HR organization, in support of project team.
  • Ensuring adherence to applicable Company administrative, accounting and compliance procedures.
  • Performing various administrative office duties including maintaining office supplies, coordinating meetings and events, managing travel arrangements, coordinating office relocations, creating, and tracking project correspondence and performing miscellaneous assignments as directed.

Transmission Analyst Role:

  • The Transmission Analyst will provide analytical support to the Company leadership team by reviewing and tracking specific Vendor costs as well as researching spending patterns throughout the Substation organization.
  • Attention to detail will be necessary to audit invoices, verify accounts, organizations, and contracts for billing.
  • Work with Company contractor Oversight team to understand work practices, processes and job requirements in order to assist with back-office operations.
  • Candidate should have knowledge of CAMP and will serve as a member of the system wide CAMP steering committee, recommending upgrades to the system.
  • The successful candidate will need to establish effective relationships and communications with substation engineering leadership, multiple levels of management, PMO, Financial Support, and contractor firms.

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Gather cost data and analyze contractor spending
  • Develop metrics & management reporting as requested to provide substation management with necessary information to make well informed decisions
  • Assess & implement process improvements & best practices
  • Project management skills and an ability to achieve results through teamwork in the midst of competing priorities and potentially conflicting interests
  • Respond to data requests from engineering leadership
  • Train new users in proper use of CAMP and MOBI
  • Review and analyze contractor submitted invoices for services provided to ensure proper accounting and adherence to contract terms and conditions
  • Monitor contractor spend relative to overall contract authorized amounts and individual project amounts
  • Review contractor proposed work authorizations relative to scope of work and submitted hours and dollars
  • Identify and refer work authorization issues to substation engineering oversight personnel as they arise
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal business unit partners such as IT, Corporate Financial Support, PMO, contract firms, and others
  • Other projects & ad hoc reporting as needed
  • Assist with storm restoration duties as needed

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field OR
  • Associates Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field preferred and 2 years experience OR
  • Associates Degree in another field and 4 years relevant experience

Experience:

  • Previous experience in accounting, finance, or business administration – preferred
  • Understanding of accounting and management reporting – preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with Enterprise Solutions applications (i.e. MAXIMO, Oracle, Financials, PowerPlant, etc.) or other enterprise financial and inventory management platforms (e.g. SAP).
  • Working knowledge of CAMP a plus
  • Demonstrated use of Microsoft products (Word, Excel (pivot tables), Power Point, etc.)
  • Experience coordinating multiple requests and ensuring goals and objectives are met

  • Experience with the following company specific systems: CAMP, Oracle, iExpense, MOBI
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Access and Power BI a plus
