Job Description / Desired Qualifications:

An Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Operations & Master Data Management (MDM) Manager with 10 to 15 years of experience is responsible for leading and optimizing utility metering systems, ensuring data accuracy, and driving strategic initiatives related to AMI operations and MDM.
This role involves managing a team of professionals, overseeing the entire metering infrastructure, and using data analytics to improve utility services and customer experience.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field, such as electrical engineering, data science, or information technology.
  • 10 to 15 years of experience in advanced metering infrastructure systems, data management, and utility industry practices.
  • Expert knowledge of AMI technologies, data analytics, and utility operations.
  • Proficiency in data management software, data analytics tools, and database management systems.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and data privacy regulations.
  • Exceptional project management skills and the ability to manage complex, large-scale initiatives. Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills to collaborate with diverse teams and external stakeholders.
  • Advanced problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking to interpret complex data and make strategic decisions.
  • An AMI Operations & MDM Manager with 10 to 15 years of experience plays a pivotal role in the strategic leadership and management of advanced metering infrastructure systems, ensuring data accuracy, and leveraging data analytics to enhance utility services and customer satisfaction.
  • This position requires a high level of technical expertise, leadership, and strategic thinking.
Key Responsibilities:
AMI System Leadership: Oversee the operation, maintenance, and expansion of advanced metering infrastructure systems, including smart meters, data collectors, and communication networks.

Data Management Strategy:
Develop and implement a comprehensive master data management strategy to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity.

Data Analytics:
Utilize advanced data analytics tools and methodologies to extract insights, trends, and actionable information from metering data.

Team Management:
Lead and mentor a team of AMI and MDM professionals, setting clear objectives, monitoring performance, and providing guidance.

Network Optimization:
Optimize the metering network for performance, security, and scalability while proactively addressing issues and ensuring reliability.

Data Validation and Quality Control:
Establish and maintain data validation processes, quality control measures, and exception management protocols.

Data Security and Compliance:
Ensure that customer data is secure and that the system is compliant with relevant data privacy and utility regulations.

Performance Monitoring:
Regularly monitor the performance of AMI systems and develop strategies for continuous improvement.

Master Data Maintenance:
Oversee the maintenance and updating of customer and meter data, ensuring data records are accurate and up-to-date.

Regulatory Compliance:
Stay up-to-date with evolving utility regulations and standards, ensuring full compliance.

Project Management:
Lead major AMI system upgrades, installations, and expansion projects, managing budgets and timelines.

Integration:
Collaborate with IT and software teams to integrate AMI data with other utility systems and applications.

Reporting and Insights:
Generate reports and insights to track key performance indicators, system performance, and opportunities for operational enhancement.

Customer Support:
Collaborate with customer service teams to address customer inquiries related to billing, metering, and data.

Strategic Planning:
Develop long-term strategic plans for AMI and MDM to improve utility services and customer satisfaction.
