Job Description / Desired Qualifications:
0 – 5 years of experience.
The Project Support Specialist plays a vital role in assisting project teams to achieve their goals efficiently.
They collaborate with project managers, team members, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery.
1 to 3 years of power delivery distribution field engineering experience is preferred, but will consider 3 to 5 years of Outside Plant (OSP) permitting experience with a telecommunication company.
Joint Use make-ready work experience is preferred.
If the absence of related experience, candidate must possess the ability to understand work-flows for joint use make-ready, or rapidly develop knowledge of joint use concepts.
Proven project management skills with ability to multi-task and manage large projects.
Ability to communicate complex information in a clear and succinct manner, ability to resolve issues that may arise, and make timely effective decisions.
Must be customer focused and able to build effective working relationships, and resolve customer issues.
Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point)
Ability to create Power BI dashboards and reports.
Experience in SQL, Excel, Access, Power BI, and other database and reporting tools is preferred.
Use data analytics to identify issues and demonstrating findings.
GIS knowledge or experience is preferred.
Must be highly organized and detail oriented.
Knowledge of basic accounting concepts is preferred.
Identify and execute improvements in current processes and tools.
Responsibilities:
Documentation and Coordination:
Maintain project documentation, including schedules, meeting minutes, and progress reports.
Coordinate meetings, track action items, and follow up on deadlines.
The primary responsibilities will be to process Joint Use Make Ready Applications in JUMS, create reports, and track work progress.
Manage recurring calls or meetings to ensure work is completed and applicants remain current on invoicing.
This person may be asked to fill in for any other team member during an extended absence.
Resource Management:
Assist in resource allocation, ensuring the right people are assigned to tasks.
Monitor resource availability and resolve conflicts.
Risk Management:
Identify project risks, assess their impact, and propose mitigation strategies.
Work closely with the project manager to minimize risks.
Communication:
Facilitate communication among team members, stakeholders, and external partners.
Ensure everyone is informed about project updates and changes.
Quality Assurance:
Review project deliverables for quality and adherence to standards.
Address any discrepancies promptly.
Budget Tracking:
Assist in tracking project expenses, maintaining budget records, and ensuring financial compliance.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, or a related field.
Experience:
Prior experience in project coordination or support roles preferred.

Excellent organizational skills
Strong attention to detail
Effective communication
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira)
