Immediate W2 contract position available in Atlanta, GA or Birmingham, AL.

Estimated Duration:14 months

Job Description / Desired Qualifications:

  • 5-10 Years Focused on manipulating data in a software engineering capacity.
  • Some of that data might live in relational systems, but increasingly moving towards data Lakehouse architecture.
  • Normalize databases and ascertain the structure of the data meets the requirements of the applications that are accessing the information.
  • Construct datasets that are easy to analyze and support company requirements.
  • Combine raw information from different sources to create consistent and machine-readable formats.
  • This role is not in IT, but requires a significant set of technical skills, including a deep knowledge of SQL, data modeling, and tools like Spark/Hive/Airflow.
  • Hands on experience with Databricks and Microsoft Azure is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience working with data in an enterprise environment.
  • 5+ years of experience with SQL queries and Python.
  • Proven experience with Power BI and Oracle databases.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Optimize and troubleshoot SQL queries for performance and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes using Python.
  • Integrate and manage data from various sources, including Oracle databases.
  • Create and maintain reports and dashboards using Power BI.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security.
  • Perform data visualization and analysis to support business decisions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Knowledge of big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
  • Familiarity with data governance and compliance standards.
